On December 11th 2009 A series of booklets explaining the adoption process for birth parents and to assist health professionals dealing with birth parents was launched by Katharine Bulbulia, Chair of the Crisis Pregnancy Agency, which funded the booklets. These booklets were produced collaboratively by groups directly involved in providing a service to parents considering adoption. Margot Doherty of Treoir co-ordinated the production of these new resources.  Introduction to adoption for birth parents , outlines briefly what is involved in adoption for birth parents - how long it takes, who is involved, changing your mind, contact following adoption etc. This booklet is also available online in Latvian , Lithuanian , Mandarin Chinese , Polish and Romanian .
 Adoption in Ireland today for birth parents considering adoption , outlines the process of adoption in detail - who can place children for adoption, who legalises the adoption process, giving final consent , the obligations of consulting fathers etc. Workbook for parents in the adoption process, is for parents, both mothers and fathers, who are deep into the adoption process with adoption social workers and encourages parents to examine in detail the implications of both placing a baby for adoption and parenting the baby.
Family Links steps and stages - Positive pointers for lone parents who are helping their children to understand their family situation. Launched on 20th October this 3rd edition of he Family Links steps and stages was funded by the Family Support Agency
EQUALITY AND RIGHTS ALLIANCE Treoir is a member of the Equality and Rights Alliance (ERA) www.eracampaign.org, a coalition of 57 civil society groups, who came together to challenge the government proposal to merge The Equality Authority, the Equality Tribunal, the Irish Human Rights Commission, the Data Protection Commissioner and the National Disability Authority. Annual Report 2008 In excess of 9,000 queries were responded to during the year, a significant increase on 2007. Several new publications were launched, numerous training sessions were hosted for parents and professionals and policy changes were promoted on a number of issues.
