Members’ Meetings

Meetings for members are held on a regular basis in the National Information Centre in Treoir. Usually a speaker gives a short input on a current issue (for example, Children and Family Relationships Act, Adoption Bill, social welfare changes etc.) and members have the opportunity of discussing the intricacies of these issues. These meetings are free and take place at lunch-time or tea-time with light refreshments provided. The meetings give members an opportunity to share their work experience and to discuss issues and service developments.

  • Treoir hosted a most informative session on the Heads and General Scheme of the Adoption (Information & Tracing) Bill in September 2015.
  • Treoir hosted an information session outlining the provisions of the Civil Registration (Amendment) Bill 2014 for our members on November 12th 2014.   Presentations were made by Simonetta Ryan, Assistant Secretary and Fidelma Cotter, Assistant Principal, of the Department of Social Protection.
